Step 1 – Download the eero App
Get the free eero app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. You’ll need it to set up your network—web browser setup isn’t supported.
Step 2 – Sign In or Create an Account
Log in with your Amazon account or create a new eero account with your phone number and email. Enter the verification code sent to your phone.
Step 3 – Set Up Your Gateway eero
(This may already be done by your technician.)
- Unplug your old modem/router.
- Connect your eero to your modem with the included Ethernet cable.
- Plug in your eero and modem. The light will flash white while starting up.
Step 4 – Create Your Network
The app will find your eero. Choose a location name, then set your Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password. You can reuse your old Wi-Fi details to avoid reconnecting devices.
Step 5 – Add More eeros (Optional)
Place additional eeros in open, central spots—away from large electronics—to improve coverage. Add them wirelessly or with Ethernet.
Step 6 – Connect Your Devices
Join your new network using your chosen SSID and password. If you reused your old details, most devices will reconnect automatically.
